Jennifer Kovaleski is an Emmy Award-winning senior investigative reporter whose stories have sparked law changes, policy reforms, and nationwide accountability.
After growing up in Colorado and spending more than a decade at Denver7, Jennifer returned in February 2026 after three years at ABC15 in Phoenix. There, her investigations exposed abuse, corruption, and dangerous safety lapses — prompting action from lawmakers, regulators, and industry leaders. Her work in Arizona led to sweeping licensing changes in healthcare, a federal investigation into a wild case of mistaken identity, stronger protections for troubled teens, and national scrutiny of tour bus safety standards after a deadly Grand Canyon crash.
Now back at Denver7, Jennifer brings the same commitment to accountability that previously uncovered millions in unspent school safety funds, forced the disbarment of a sitting district attorney, and helped shape critical state reforms involving domestic violence. Her reporting has earned nine regional Emmys, including Best Investigative Reporter, a national Emmy, and the Colorado Broadcasters Association’s Best Investigative Reporter award.
Jennifer believes deeply in journalism’s power to create change — and she thrives on telling stories that make a difference.
