At Denver7, we strive to be the news organization that does right by the communities we serve – in Denver and across Colorado.
In every story that we do, we make this promise to the viewer: We’re listening to the voices of our communities, we always aim to seek and highlight possible solutions to the issues facing Coloradans, and we will hold ourselves and others accountable.
It is through this lens that we evaluate the day’s events in our newsroom, plan our coverage and hope to make a difference.
You can see this effort at work in every newscast on every platform. On weekdays at 6 p.m., join for a live hour of news featuring high-impact stories, expert interviews and analysis, and forecasts that will not only prepare you for your week but also educate you on Colorado’s unique weather patterns.
We know there's a lot happening in your community – no matter where you live – and it doesn't always make the news. It's why Denver7 | Your Voice is now a part of our identity as a television station: to give people from all walks of life a chance to have a conversation with Denver7 personalities.
We are visiting communities across the state hoping to hear what makes them special, the challenges they're facing, and everything in between – then following up by highlighting people and places that make those communities special, or taking questions and concerns straight to those in power.
You may have seen us highlighting those connections we’re making with our communities through regular stories in our 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts.
We’ve also launched special, on-location newscasts as part of the storytelling series. We started that effort with special coverage from our new neighborhood of Five Points back in May, and we’re heading to Arvada next on July 25.
If you have a story idea in your community, let us know.
We’ve also introduced a new way to make an impact: Denver7 Gives Day. In addition to the financial support Denver7 Gives has provided for neighbors in need over the last several years, volunteering has become a core part of who we are – and we're giving you the chance to not just watch and donate, but to roll up your sleeves and be part of the change.
We believe our job as journalists is not simply to cover the issues in our state, but also to present the potential solutions to those problems.
So many Coloradans are working to make our state a better place to live, and we want to share the stories of individuals and organizations that are trying to make a difference.
We are also on the ground actively finding solutions for Coloradans through consumer investigations that shine a light on issues facing buyers in our state or by helping neighbors in need through Denver7 Gives.
We aim to always go beyond the headline to understand how the events in the news cycle impact you, our neighbors – and press for answers when something doesn’t add up.
From our Denver7 | Investigates team holding the powerful accountable to politics coverage that breaks down all sides of an issue, we promise to dig into the concerns our viewers bring to us and share what we find so you are better informed on the decisions made by leaders in our communities.
We’re also committed to following up on stories that matter to you through The Follow Up. Our news team is revisiting stories from around the state to address the questions that remain unanswered, see what’s next for the people most affected by them, and get the latest on any changes that have been made.
Denver7 is committed to making a difference in our community by standing up for what's right, listening, lending a helping hand and following through on promises. See that work in action, in the videos above.
