Maggy Wolanske

Denver7

Multimedia Journalist

Maggy Wolanske is thrilled to join the Denver7 team as a multimedia journalist and to build connections within the community. She is up for the challenge of finding the good people and untold stories that are sprinkled throughout the state.

Growing up in Connecticut, Maggy knew early on she wanted to be a news reporter. When the time came to head to college, Maggy made the trip down south to the University of Texas at Austin for her journalism degree. She traded New England pizza and the New York Giants for queso and cheering on the UT Longhorns.

Upon graduation, the mountains were calling and Maggy followed. She joined FOX21 in Colorado Springs becoming a one-man-band that was passionate about sharing the heartwarming and unique stories throughout southern Colorado. Some stories have left their mark including a practice ride for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the creation of the Riley I Whitelaw Memorial Fund, Thanksgiving with the Colorado Springs Fire Department, and the artist behind the famous Humpty Dumpties.

Maggy is always looking to shine light on the stories and people making a difference.

If you have a story idea, you can email her (Maggy.Wolanske@Denver7.com) or message her on Instagram/Facebook (@coveragebymaggy)
