DENVER — While widespread severe weather is not expected Thursday, a few storms could become strong to severe Thursday afternoon with the main threat being wind gusts up to 65 mph.
Isolated heavy rain is also possible in some storms.

5:15 p.m. | Golf ball-sized hail possible | The NWS warned of the possibility of large hail in a severe storm near Kersey and Gill, Colorado. The warning remains in effect until 5:30 p.m.

4:56 p.m. | Weld County severe t-storm | The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Central Weld County until 5:30 p.m. for the possibility of quarter-sized hail in a cell over Gill.
The storm is moving SE at 20 mph, said the NWS.
3:33 p.m. | Xcel Energy outages | The utility is reporting an outage impacting over 3,700 customers in portions of Denver, Henderson, Commerce City and Dupont.
Xcel Energy is estimating power to be restored at around 5 p.m. Thursday.

3:25 p.m. | Severe t-storm east of Byers | The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for a cell east of Byers moving east at 35 mph.
60 mph wind gusts are possible as a severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 3:45 p.m. for portions of Northern Elbert, Southeastern Adams and Eastern Arapahoe Counties.
3:02 p.m. | Severe t-storm near Strasburg | The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for portions of Northen Elbert, SE Adams and Eastern Arapahoe Counties until 3:45 p.m.
The main threat will be wind gusts up to 60 m ph.
The cell was over Strasburg moving east at 35 mph, said the NWS.

2:55 p.m. | Severe storm near Aurora | A severe thunderstorm warning continues until 3:15 p.m. for a cell that could produce 60 mph wind gusts.
The NWS said Denver International Airport reported a 58-mph wind gust over the last several minutes.
The storm was 15 miles east of Denver moving east at 25 mph.
2:33 p.m. | Severe t-storm watch NE Colorado | The NWS has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m. tonight for many counties in Northeastern Colorado, including communities near the Denver metro.
Denver County is not included in the watch, but strong storms are still possible.

2:30 p.m. | Severe thunderstorm warning | SW Adams, Western Arapahoe and Denver Counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 3:15 p.m. for a cell 5 miles south of Commerce City.
The NWS said 59-mph wind gusts have been reported near I-70 in northern Denver.

2:00 p.m. | 60 mph wind gusts in the metro | The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for portions Northern Jefferson, Western Adams, NW Arapahoe, SE Boulder and Broomfield as well as SW Denver Counties.
The NWS said 60 mph winds are radar indicated.

Denver, western Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Arvada, Westminster, southern Boulder, Broomfield, Commerce City, Northglenn, Brighton,Englewood, Wheat Ridge, Lafayette, Golden, Louisville, Superior, Federal Heights, Sheridan and Morrison.
