DENVER — Friday brought a beautiful end to the work-week with clear skis and highs in the 40s.  Today will be one of the warmest days of the week, with highs in the mid-50s for Denver and the Front Range, and in the 30s to low 40s in the mountains.

Winds will pick up ahead of an approaching cold front. Expect gusty southwest winds of 10-20 mph, especially along the northern Front Range near Fort Collins and Estes Park.

The cold front will arrive in the early evening with much colder temperatures and snow for the mountains and the eastern plains, including Denver. Lows will dip to the low 20s early Sunday and highs will stay in the upper 20s on Sunday.

Snowfall will not be excessive with one to three inches of snow for the Denver area and 3 to 6 inches in the mountains along and east of the Divide.

Western Colorado will miss most of the snow, with little accumulation expected for Vail, Aspen, Telluride and surrounding areas.

Monday will start very cold in the Denver area with morning lows in the low to mid-teens.  Highs on Monday should be around 40 degrees under a mostly sunny sky.

Warmer weather is expected by the middle of next week with temperatures near 60 degrees by Wednesday! So there's a little bit of everything on our 7-day forecast!
