DENVER – If you’re out and about during the afternoon and evening hours on Saturday, stay weather aware as there is a better chance of strong-to-severe storms in northeastern Colorado.
Denver7 chief meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo said high temps will reach the low 90s, and as monsoon moisture returns to Colorado, there is a marginal risk of severe storms across Colorado’s Front Range.

A few storms could bring localized flooding, gusty winds and large hail, especially across the northeastern corner of the state.
Hidalgo said we should see storms start to develop in the early afternoon hours, first across the mountains, and then rolling toward the east before becoming stronger along the plains.
As of Saturday morning, no severe weather watches have been issued.
Flights at Denver International Airport could be impacted this afternoon and evening.
Skies are expected to clear out overnight with a few areas of patchy fog possible on Sunday morning before another chance of storms returns Sunday.
