BOULDER, Colo.-- One of the fiercest sporting competitions in Colorado unfolded over the weekend, but it didn't involve the Rockies, Nuggets, Broncos or Avalanche.
Horseshoe pitchers took to Fort Collins this weekend to participate in the Colorado State Tournament for the Singles Championship at Edora Park.
Sheila Shepard and Richard Pintor, past title winners, successfully defended and won their divisions.
Denver7 Sports Anchor Alison Mastrangelo, caught up with them before the tournament and learned about what it takes to be the best at horseshoes.
