DENVER — The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) confirmed the Colorado Rockies will be allowed to have fans in the stands this year, though it's not clear how many.
The Rockies submitted a variance for CDPHE review to allow fans in the stands. CDPHE said they approved the variance, pending a few adjustments.
Rockies had no comment Thursday night as they continue to work through details.
This comes after the Rockies played a shortened season in 2020 that started in July.
The Rockies Home opener is scheduled for April 1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
