CUSTER COUNTY, Colo. — A pre-evacuation order is in place for residents around Lake Isabel in Pueblo County after a small wildfire sparked in the area Tuesday afternoon.
As of 11:30 a.m., the fire was three acres, but is spreading, according to the Custer County Sheriffs Office. It is south of Bishops Castle on Highway 165, on the line of Custer County and Pueblo County.
The Custer County Sheriffs Office is urging all residents of the San Isabel area to begin to prepare their homes and pack their belongings. As of noon Tuesday, the area is under a pre-evacuation notice.
