DENVER -- The two Colorado women forced to ride out Hurricane Irma on the Turks & Caicos Islands survived the storm that took at least 14 lives there.
The storm ripped off the entire roof of the home where they were hunkered down.
Until he got the call at 3 a.m., Loren Priest wasn't sure if his daughter, Kelsey Priest, had made it through the night.
"You actually just hope and pray for the best and do what little we can," Loren said.
The women stayed in the basement of the home while Irma pummeled the area, leaving much of the low-lying islands underwater.
"The key is just not to panic. You do what you can and wait," Chamberlain said. "I'm going to really reevaluate how I react to things. I think I solved my anxiety issues."
This was supposed to be a fun business trip for the two women. Now, they said Hurricane Jose is looming, and their flight out Sunday has been canceled.

"You literally just sit there and say your prayers," Kelsey said."It literally changed my life. I'll tell you that right now."
Back in Parker, her father just wants to see her smile. But until she is home, he remains worried.
He tried to get the U.S. Embassy to help and has even looked into chartering a private jet.
The women said they have this advice for people in Florida in the path of the hurricane: "Get out now. We didn't have that choice."
