DENVER — If there’s any feline advocate fit to assist a local organization raise money to help stray cats, it’s celebrity Internet cat Lil BUB.

The Feline Fix, a spay and neutering source for free-roaming cats, will hold its 12th annual Stray Cat Strut June 15 at The Cable Center at 2000 Buchtel Blvd. with Lil BUB as the special VIP guest.

The event raises funding for The Feline Fix to continue its mission of promoting the health of stray cats through spaying and neutering, foster care, adoption, wellness services, trap-neuter-return, and community outreach, collaboration and education. To date, it has spayed and neutered more than 39,500 cats to prevent future unwanted litters in Denver and the surrounding areas.

The Stray Cat Strut starts with a VIP meet and greet with Lil BUB from 4:30-6 p.m. The event, which will include music, cat-themed cocktails, food, silent and live auctions and stories of rescued felines, will begin at 6 p.m.

Lil BUB was found in 2011 as a runt of a feral litter in Indiana by Mike Bridavsky. She was born with genetic anomalies — including dwarfism, a jaw deformity and a tongue that always hangs outside her month — and is considered a “perma-kitten,” meaning she will stay the size of a kitten for her whole life. After Bridavsky shared photos and videos of her online, Lil BUB quickly became a famous Internet cat. Through guest appearances at various events, the duo has raised more than $300,000 for animals in need.

Tickets for the Stray Cat Strut range in price from $60 to $100.
