9:47 a.m.: Deputies say the barricade situation ended peacefully with five people in custody. Streets in the area are back open and schools are no longer in lockout.

9:30 a.m.: The Adams County Sheriff's Office says deputies are dealing with an armed barricaded suspect in the 8800 block of Lowell Blvd.

8:55 a.m.: Three Westminster schools — John E. Flynn Marzano Academy, Mesa Elementary and Shaw Heights Middle — are in lockout due to some police activity in the area of W. 87th and Lowell.
