DENVER – Law enforcement is asking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a truck allegedly connected to a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a person early Saturday morning.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) issued a Medina Alert after investigators said a pedestrian was struck by a 2003-2007 Chevrolet Silverado truck at around 1:48 a.m. at 48th Avenue and Kalamath Street.
Denver police later said the crash happened near a "large gathering" in a parking lot after "two vehicles were driving in a reckless manner in the parking lot and struck an adult male pedestrian standing in the area," said DPD's Kurt Barnes. The crowd had left the scene when officers arrived, said DPD, and no arrests have been made.
Investigators issued the Medina Alert with photos of the driver and truck. The license plate number is not known, but the truck is described as an early 2000s Chevrolet Silverado with a grey cab, black truck bed, blue tailgate and mismatched wheels on the driver side.
There was no additional information available on the pedestrian.
