BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A woman who struck and killed a Boulder bicyclist while driving drunk has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.
The Daily Camera reports 25-year-old Callie Kuhasz was sentenced Tuesday for the June 25, 2016, hit-and-run crash that killed 35-year-old William Davis. She previously pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide.
Davis was riding with a friend north of Boulder when Kuhasz veered 3 feet (0.9 meters) into the bicycle lane. She was captured in Boulder a short time later.
As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped charges of leaving the scene of a crash, DUI and weaving.
