Inmate who escaped from Colorado Correction Center caught in Denver

GOLDEN, Colo. – A dangerous inmate who escaped from jail Friday evening has been taken back into custody, an official with the Department of Corrections said Sunday. 

Adam Vigil, 25, escaped from Colorado Correctional Center in Golden at about 10 p.m. Friday. Vigil was convicted of fraud and criminal trespassing out of El Paso County, and of second-degree burglary out of Pueblo County.

He was caught in Denver by the Denver Police Department at approximately 6:10 a.m. Saturday, according to the Department of Corrections.
