MESA COUNTY, Colo. – Authorities have arrested two more people on murder charges in connection to the death of Kyle Free, whose remains were recovered earlier this month after the man went missing in April.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office announced the John C. Eddy, 25, and David S. Castro, 32, both of Clifton, have been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder charges and are being held without bond at the Mesa County jail in relation to Free’s death.
Their arrests come less than a week after the sheriff’s office announced that two other Clifton residents had been arrested in connection with Free’s death. Rebecca Walker, 34, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse charges
Additionally, Timothy Zane Russman, 28, was arrested on suspicion of accessory to commit first-degree murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse charges in relation to Free’s death.
Free, 32, was reported missing in April and hadn’t been seen since. A day after the charges against Walker and Russman were announced, the coroner’s office announced that remains found in remote northeastern Mesa County were those of Free’s. He had been shot in the neck and chest, the coroner found.
The affidavits in the case remain sealed so no other information about the four people’s arrests have been released.
