AURORA, Colo. -- It's been nearly a month since an Aurora couple was murdered trying to buy a car.
"Jossline and Joe were the most loving people ever," said Sammy Heckerman, the sister of Jossline Roland.

Jossline and Joe Roland were shot and killed at 11763 East Cornell Circle in Aurora on August 14. The two were parents to five children ranging in age from 4 to 18.
"They know that mom and dad are angels watching over them, those are their words," Heckerman said of the children.
The couple went to the Southlands Mall that night to buy a car from 18-year-old Kyree Brown. Court documents show Brown told police it was the wrong car. So, Jossline and Joe followed Brown to his apartment complex to buy the correct car. It was there Brown admits he pulled a gun on Joe Roland and demanded money. When Joe Roland reached for the gun, Brown shot him and accidentally shot Jossline in the process. Brown was arrested and is facing first-degree murder charges.
The family is holding onto memories, looking at old photos to get them through.
"The little one, his face just lights up every time he sees a picture of his mom or dad. He’s like, 'my angel's looking over me.' He’ll go around kissing and waving at all the photos," Heckerman said.
Heckerman added the children will stay together and will be raised with kindness and love, like their parents would have wanted.
"I just want the kids to grow up knowing they were loved and their parents loved them and I want to make sure that’s instilled in them rather than vengeance," Heckerman said.
