COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A 16-year-old teen wanted on several warrants is still undergoing treatment at a hospital after he was shot by Colorado Springs police Thursday afternoon.

Colorado Springs Police Department officers were executing a search warrant at the Pine Creek Village Apartments in the area of Chapman Drive and Academy Park Loop at around 3 p.m. when the shooting took place.

The armed juvenile was wanted on "multiple violent crime felony warrants" including second-degree assault with a weapon, felony menacing, second-degree burglary and various counts of felony theft, according to an official with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

No police officers were injured, according to a statement from El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
