DENVER -- We all want to do good, especially during the Holidays, but it seems like everybody is asking for money. So, we came up with a list of easy ways to do good for free.
1. Save money while Christmas shopping and give at the same time. If you add Gumdropto your browser, the extension automatically finds the best coupons for the site you're shopping and applies them for you. Plus, every purchase you make throughGumdropapplies a donation do your favorite cause.
"I think it's a great way for people to give back this time of year," said Maia Brusseau with the Dumb Friends League. "So far, it's raised about $1000 for the Dumb Friends League. Every dollar counts, so every little bit helps us."
2. Donate your Frequent Flyer Miles. You don't have to spend a time to grant wishes with your frequent flyer miles. Make a Wish Foundationuses donated miles to send wish kids and their families to destinations around the world.
3. Support the troops. It's easy to show support for the troops this holiday season with a handwritten letter. The nonprofit A Million Thanks has shipped more than 9.1 million notes of appreciation to military members overseas.
"Tell a bit about yourself. Include your return address and express your gratitude for what they're doing keeping us safe here at home," said Matt Parisi, the executive director of A Million Thanks. "Write your letter, drop it in the mail and we'll take care of the rest and get it to our military men and women."

(They do request a $1 donation to help pay for postage, but it is not required.)
4. Clean out your closet. Make room for the new Christmas clothes by sending them to ThredUp, an online consignment store that will send you a free back that you fill with old clothes and then send back to them for free. You could donate any money your clothes earn to charity.
