1. Celebrate diverse cultures at Aurora Global Fest

What: The city of Aurora will host an international cultural festival this weekend! Gather at the Aurora Municipal Center for live entertainment throughout the day, and enjoy a wide range of ethnic foods. Arts and crafts  will also be part of the event.

When: Saturday, Aug. 19 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

2. Golden Fine Arts Festival

What: The city of Golden is celebrating art this weekend with an open-air art gallery featuring more than 100 artists working with different media: ceramics, glass, painting, photography, fiber, sculpture and more.

When: Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. Get in free to the Denver Firefighter’s Museum

What: Learn about the history of the Denver Fire Department with galleries showcasing firefighting artifacts, technology used over the years by firefighters, and learn about firefighter training and much more.

4. The 2017 Denver Parade of Homes

What: Dozens of new, custom-built homes will be on display in the Denver metro area starting this week. The Parade of Homes includes 66 newly-built homes throughout the Denver metro area, all of which are up for sale. The tour is self-guided, allowing potential buyers to browse whichever homes they want whenever they want.

When: Thursday, Aug. 10 through Monday, Sept. 4, 2017

5. 88 Drive-In Theater: Triple-Feature

What: If you long for the days of the drive-in movie theater experience, you don’t have to look very far. 88 Drive-In Theater is the only drive-in theater left in the Denver metro area still showing movies. Click here for the current line-up.

6. Coors Brewery Tours

What: Coors has been making beer in Golden, Colo., since the 1870s. The brewery experience includes a 30-minute self-paced tour highlighting the malting, brewing and packaging processes.

When: Weekly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Weekly on Sunday from noon – 4 p.m.

7. Celestial Seasonings Factory Tour

What: Did you know you can tour Colorado’s very own Celestial Seasonings Factory for free?  Factory tours run every hour Monday through Sunday.  And every tour includes a whiff of the Mint Room, guaranteed to clear any stuffy nose.  Afterwards, be sure to visit the sampling bar with over 100 kinds of tea to taste.  Note that kids must be at least 5 years old to tour the factory floor.

When: Mondays – Saturdays: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sundays: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
