The Grinch may be mean and green, but it’s still super-fun to include him in holiday festivities. For example, you can get Grinchy in your holiday treats with this delicious and outrageously green Grinch fudge that the whole family will enjoy. And adults can indulge in this bright-green Grinch punch cocktail.

As for kiddos, there’s a great at-home craft and educational tool that stars everyone’s favorite green furry grump. With at-home learning being oh-so-2020, one crafty mom decided to get the Grinch involved in the homeschooling fun during the holidays, and she designed a Grinch Sensory Bag and Letter Activity, which combines sensory play with a letter-finding game.

This hands-on learning game by Andrea, the creator of the Raising Dragons website, is meant for children ages 3 to 7, though we can see it being a good activity for the whole family. The games can be adapted for older kids, who could also lend a hand in making the kit.

You will need a number of things to put the game together, including a freezer bag, rubbing alcohol, markers, packing tape, green hair conditioner or lotion, and a few other items.

For a full list of supplies and a complete set of directions on how to make the game, head over to Raising Dragons.

The object of the game is for kids to find the hidden letters underneath the Grinch-green slime. You can have them locate individual letters, as in the video below, or you could have them try to spell out holiday-themed words. It all depends on the letters you write on the paper that’s placed behind the bag of green goop.

The Grinch Sensory Bag and Letter Activity is a fun way to pass the time during the holidays and keep the kids learning over the long winter break.

We knew Mr. Grinch wasn’t all bad.
