The Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce presents the State of Women in Business Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton City Center. Denver7’s Anne Trujillo will emcee the event and the station is a proud sponsor of CWCC.

Women in business, especially in Colorado, have come a long way. But as statistics continue to show, there’s still opportunity to go farther. Women hold only 17 percent of CEO roles and women-owned businesses in Colorado aren’t growing.

This year’s State of Women in Business Luncheon will feature a data presentation from McKinsey and Company, based on their 2018 Women in Workplace event. Guest will have a great opportunity to dig into the data of where things stand regarding women in business and women-owned businesses, as well as open the discussion of how we can make change.

Following the keynote, a panel of executives will discuss their stories of institutional blind biases and how they have used their experiences to change and impact their organizations for the better.

The State of Women in Business Luncheon is one of the five signature events CWCC hosts annually. Their signature events recognize and honor women in business who make a significant contribution to the business community, and those who value diversity in their organization. CWCC events connect members with business and community leaders, while also helping to enrich attendees' careers and grow their business.
