DENVER – Denver7 is once again sponsoring the Polar Plunge series for Colorado Special Olympics. As you would expect, this year things are going to look a little different.
For starters, the “pool” has been replaced with Polar Plunge Roulette. Teams will take the stage in small, socially distanced groups before the roulette wheel is spun. Whatever the marker lands on is what that team will have to do. Teams could be doused with warm or cold water, sprayed with cold water, squirted with a condiment or soda, or land on “choose your own.”

There is also a Virtual Plunge option that allows plungers and teams to participate from the comfort of their own home. Teams can even split between virtual and in-person plunging if they want.
Participants will also have to follow the safety rules listed on the event page. That includes socially distancing at the plunge as well as Plunge 5k events. Runners will need to sign up for a wave start time the week before their event.
The Denver7 Plunge Team will be participating virtually this year. You can donate to the team by following this link. You can also click here to learn more about the event or sign up your own team.
