Thanks to the generosity of our viewers Denver7 Gives was able to present a check for $39,382 to Food Bank of the Rockies. For every dollar donated, Food Bank of the Rockies provides four meals for a family in need, which means Denver7 viewers helped to provide nearly 160,000 meals for our neighbors in need.

One in seven Coloradans – and one in five Colorado kids – is experiencing hunger. This is a level of food insecurity we haven’t seen since the Great Depression.

7 Days to Help End Hunger is a week-long virtual food drive that ran from Oct. 5-12, 2020. It was designed to help meet this increased need and raise crucial funds to support the work of Food Bank of the Rockies, which has nearly doubled the amount of food it is distributing in the last several months.

Denver7 Gives matched the first $10,000 raised dollar-for-dollar, and together, we made a difference in our community.
