More than 30 million children across the United States rely on reduced or no-cost school meal programs. When that Friday bell rings, many of those students go the entire weekend without the sustenance they need to develop and thrive. The CE Shop Foundation is committed to eliminating childhood hunger, which is why they’re asking you to help by participating in Fit for Food, proudly supported by Denver7.

Get in shape and help end childhood hunger with Fit for Food

Throughout the month of July, the CE Shop is holding a Fit For Food Challenge. This month-long, virtual event asks participants to commit to a personal exercise of their choice, donate to the cause, and challenge their friends and family to join in. It can be as simple as 10 jumping jacks every day or as epic as a heart-pumping, endorphin-fueled 100-mile bicycle ride. The exercise goal can be over one day, one week, or the entire month.

All proceeds raised from donations, merchandise and fundraising will go directly to The CE

Shop Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that is partnering with Food For Thought Denver, a local nonprofit that strives to eliminate weekend hunger for children in the Denver Metro area. Together, they will work with local elementary schools and food banks to ensure young children have enough food to eat when they're away from school.

As an added incentive, The CE Shop is matching the first $15,000 in donations.

To learn more about this event and how you can donate, and raise funds and awareness, please visit FitForFoodChallenge.com.

It only takes $4 to feed a family of four for an entire weekend, so a donation of any size can make a difference.
