Colorado Gives Day is presented by Community First Foundation, a local community foundation dedicated to fueling positive change throughout Colorado, and FirstBank, one of the nation’s largest privately held banks and one of the most philanthropic banks in the state. The event is one of the most successful “giving days” in the nation. Since its inception in 2010, the statewide movement has raised $217 million for Colorado nonprofits. Last year alone, donors gave more than 161,060 donations to 2,547 nonprofits totaling $35.3 million.
“Colorado nonprofits are hard at work supporting healthy and thriving communities,” said Kelly Dunkin, president and CEO of Community First Foundation. “For many of these nonprofits, Colorado Gives Day is a key fundraising event. Every dollar donated on Colorado Gives Day is boosted by the $1.5 million Incentive Fund, made possible by Community First Foundation, FirstBank and other community partners.”
