Posted at 7:45 PM, Sep 02, 2020

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with Denver7 and Littleton Adventist Hospital to support the fight against cancer through the Pink Patch Project and the Blue Backs the Pink.

During the month of September, which is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office employees will proudly wear blue patches and other blue items to support men fighting prostate cancer. Then in October they will wear pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to support breast cancer patients.

“As a law enforcement agency, we want to give back to the people we serve, and we’re grateful to have Littleton Adventist Hospital and Denver7 as our partners," said Sheriff Tyler Brown. "We’re better together and more powerful in our fight to beat cancer and save our citizens.”

The public is invited to support the cause by purchasing merchandise on the Blue Backs the Pink website. All money raised goes to help cancer patients throughout Colorado who cannot afford treatment. The merchandise includes patches, hats, 2020 challenge coins, pins and new this year – masks.
