Your Dog Could Get A Job As A Critic Reviewing Pet-friendly Hotels

Does your dog like to live the high life? We may have found the perfect gig to get their tails wagging. Hotels.com is looking to hire a Canine Critic to review pet-friendly hotels to find out which ones really are the best of the best.

The job includes 10 nights in dog-friendly hotels for your pooch — and yes, you can tag along, too. The lucky winner will receive 10 vouchers for up to $200 each to be used within a 12-month time period of their dog’s win of the Canine Critic title.

This could be the perfect position for dogs-owner pairs who have been feeling a little stressed lately and need a little pampering. It could also be ideal for all those adventurous dog and human companions who love any excuse to travel. All you have to do to enter your dog for the grand prize is to post a picture of them on Instagram. Just be sure to follow the @hotelsdotcom account and tag @hotelsdotcom, and use #CanineCritic in the post, too.

The deadline to enter is Aug. 25 by 11:59 U.K. time (all other countries should note their local time difference).

Once you’ve entered your pet, this video from the Hotels.com Europe YouTube account shows just how lavishly they could be living while fulfilling their role as Canine Critic:

The competition is fierce, as pet owners have already been showing off their adorable dogs on Instagram. They’re giving it all they’ve got for their chance to win and, we must say, picking just one winner will be a very difficult decision

Instagram user @baconthedoggers is all dressed up, proving to be one stylish candidate:

Meanwhile, @thebklyndog is bringing so much joy, posing next to sunflowers and everything:

I want to be like a sunflower So that even in the darkest days I can stand tall and find the light 🌻🐶☀️ Happy Monday Friends! ▫️ ▫️ ▫️ We explored a new farm in Long Island this weekend that had sunflowers & wildflowers in bloom. Such a pretty little place filled with lots of butterflies and totally dog friendly! You can even pick yourself some flowers to bring home 💐 What’s your favorite flower? I like to sniff (& 👅 them all)! 😋 ▫️ I love exploring new places and giving y’all my opinion on the latest and greatest so when we saw @hotelsdotcom contest looking for a #caninecritic to travel world … they should look no further! I’ll be happy to assist! 🙌

And Ziva, the doggie diva, already has her bags packed, according to her owner, Instagram user @lexplorations_:

This pup has lots of ‘sploring left to do, as @vlt2006 points out on Instagram:

Ultimately, there’s only one dog for the job, but should the Canine Critic complete their duties, they’ll be making travel better for all of the other doggos out there.

Hotels.com is looking for that “paw of approval” in order to guarantee dogs will enjoy their amenities:

“We love our pets more than we love our other half at times, so it’s no surprise that we’ve seen a huge increase in travelers wanting to take their furry plus one on holiday with them,” Liz Oakman, Senior Director and General Manager of EMEA, told Metro. “At Hotels.com, we want to make sure you find the paw-fect place to check into … Our hunt for a Canine Critic is our way of ensuring our pet-friendly hotels really are up to ‘scratch’ with a four-legged expert’s ‘paw of approval.'”

Think your dog is up to the task? Follow the rules for entering your pup on Instagram by Aug. 25 so that you and your furry friend can be living your best lives while hotel-hopping.
