DENVER -- The Salvation Army’s ‘Search and Rescue’ emergency truck will patrol Denver streets as a snow storm moves into the metro area Wednesday night.
As part of the Denver Street Outreach Collaborative, volunteers will search for people in the cold and pass out blankets, hats, and give rides to homeless or stranded people.
The ‘Search and Rescue’ truck will be out until 1 a.m. Thursday morning, but will remain on call for anyone needing assistance.
The Salvation Army is on standby to arrange surplus shelter space for men, women, and families.
The Crossroads Resource Center at 1901 29th Street will stay open for 24 hours during the storm.
Last night more than 640 men stayed at the shelter.
