DENVER -- Does it seem like it has been a snowy winter?

It has been for the mountains where the snowpack is way above average.

However, Denver has only received 65 percent of its average snowfall so far this season.

Denver7 meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo says Denver has had 17.7 inches of snow this winter. By the end of January, we typically have 27.4 inches.

Denver averages 57.3 inches of snow per year, according to the National Weather Service. The highest snowfall ever was 118.7 inches in 1908-1909. The least amount of snowfall was 21.3 inches in 1888-1889.
