DENVER — Winter is officially here -this being our first full weekend of winter. Colder air and snow moved into the state for Saturday.

Tonight, lows cool to the teens to low 20s over the Denver area.

Sunday will be dry and milder, with highs back in the low to upper 40s over the metro-area. Our northern and central mountains will see snow showers again develop tomorrow afternoon. Accumulations will be light.

Monday (Christmas Eve) looks dry and mild — good weather for traveling. Highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. Christmas Day will start dry, but clouds will increase and some snow is expected to develop later in the day.

It does appear that the weather will slip back into a more active pattern Christmas night and on Dec. 26 with colder temperatures and a chance for snow in Denver!
