DENVER — A cold front will move across Colorado tonight and Wednesday, bringing cooler temperatures, rain for the plains and some snow for the mountains.

This storm will not be very powerful, compared to a couple of the storms in recent weeks. Rain and a little thunder will be possible for Denver and the plains through Wednesday, with a few inches of snow for the mountains.

Temperatures will turn cooler as the front moves across Colorado on Wednesday. Readings in the Denver area will be in the middle 50s. In the mountains, temperatures will be in the upper 30s to middle 40s.

The storm system will move out of the state on Thursday. It will still be cool and rather windy, but skies should begin to clear in the afternoon. Highs will stay in the 50s in Denver and in the 30s in the mountains.

Warmer and drier weather will cover Colorado on Friday with highs climbing back to the low 70s in Denver. Saturday will also be warm with highs in the low to mid-70s.

Another storm system will bring a chance for rain to Denver by late Saturday and on Easter Sunday, with snow for the mountains. Temperatures will be cooler again on Sunday with highs in the 50s for Denver and the Eastern Plains.
