DENVER -- The threat of storms has ended across most of eastern Colorado. Clearing skies are expected overnight with mild temperatures in the 50s.

Thursday will be warm and dry across the state, with low chances for any thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 80s in Denver and will reach the mid-90s across southeastern Colorado. In the mountains, the weather will be delightful with readings in the 70s to low 80s.
Fire Danger will be high across western and southern Colorado on Thursday. Red Flag Warnings have been posted.
A weak cold front will move into western Colorado on Friday. Scattered high-based, gusty thunderstorms will be possible, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Saturday will be sunny, but cooler with temperatures dropping back into the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. On Sunday, there will be a better chance for strong to severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Hot and mostly dry weather will return to the central Rockies next week.
