DENVER — June is considered the prime time for severe weather in Colorado. For the next few days, though, we will enjoy sunny, warm and mostly dry weather.

Temperatures will warm up into the weekend and storm chances will stay pretty low.

Highs will be in the 70s to low 80s in the mountains and upper 80s to low 90s in Denver and over eastern Colorado. The western valleys will reach the low 90s around Montrose and Grand Junction.

For the weekend, the weather will be warm with just a few afternoon thunderstorms, the best chances for storms will be in the mountains and foothills.

Early next week will continue very warm and mostly dry with storm chances staying low for most of Colorado.

The stormy weather will eventually come back, but for now, just enjoy some of the nicest weather of the year!
