DENVER — Strong storms are affecting the front range and the eastern plains. We've seen flooding rains and hail from Ft. Morgan to Wiggins with a Flash Flood Warning in effect for the next few hours.

The weekend will be a cooler one as a cold front slips into Colorado. Highs will be in the mid 80s in Denver on Saturday and in the upper 70s on Sunday. We'll see scattered storms and showers both days.

Saturday may have some stronger storms with the possibility of hail and damaging winds. We will issue a First Alert Action Day for Saturday. Going to Saturday night's Broncos game? Be prepared to get a little wet. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s for the start of the game.

Early next week should turn drier again with a slow warming trend.
