DENVER — A nice and quiet weather pattern is on the way. Temperatures will soar across Colorado for the next few days and through the weekend.
We had mostly sunny skies across Denver and the eastern plains on Thursday with highs in the upper 80s. There is still smoke in the atmosphere and high ozone levels. An ozone action day is in effect until 4pm on Friday.
Friday and the weekend looks to be warm and pleasant, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s for Denver and the eastern plains. You can expect quite a bit of sunshine as well, although skies will remain hazy due to all the western wildfire smoke.
In the mountains, temperatures will return to the upper 70s to mid 80s. The dry weather will keep fire danger elevated.
Chances for rain won't show up until the middle and end of next week.
