DENVER — Thunderstorms will again be scattered along the I-25 Corridor late this afternoon and early tonight. A few storms may become severe with hail to one inch in diameter, heavy rain, intense lightning and wind gusts to 60 mph.

The storms will diminish by midnight and skies will return to partly cloudy with a big, bright moon. Lows will drop to the 40s to low 50s in the mountains and upper 50s to low 60s for Denver and the eastern plains.

Tuesday will have a similar weather pattern with dry conditions in the morning and scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Some of these storms may have hail, heavy rain and high winds.

Temperatures will be similar to recent days with 70s to middle 80s in the mountains and upper 80s to mid-90s for lower elevations.

Hotter and drier weather is expected to return to Colorado for the end of next week through next weekend.
