DENVER — The storm track has shifted to the north of Colorado, leaving our state out of the main rain and snow bands that will track from the northern Rockies, across the Great Lakes, to New England.

The only significant changes from one day to the next will be a series of weak cold fronts that will bring a shift in the wind and a change in temperature from one day to the next.
A weak cold front will slip across the eastern half of the state today with some colder temperatures for the eastern plains. The mountains will stay dry, but a light wintry mix will be possible across parts of northeastern Colorado late tonight and early Thursday.
There may be some scattered slippery spots on the roads early Thursday, followed by clearing skies. Highs will be around 50 degrees in Denver.
Warmer weather will return for Friday and Saturday as temperatures climb into the 60s.
Another cold front will arrive on Sunday with colder weather and perhaps a little light rain and snow.
The storm track should slide farther to the south again by the middle of November, returning Colorado to a colder and snowier pattern.
