DENVER — It is hard to knock this warm, dry weather - the high temperature soared to 76 degrees in Denver Tuesday afternoon, tying the record for the date, set last in 1999. The average high temperature in mid-November is 51 degrees.

The main storm track has moved to the north of Colorado and is carrying the rain and snow from the Pacific Northwest to the Great Lakes to New England. Denver and the rest of Colorado will stay dry for the next several days.

Skies will be mostly clear overnight with some high clouds by early Wednesday. Lows will be in the middle 30s to near 50 degrees for lower elevations and in the 20s to low 30s in the mountains.

Wednesday will be another warm and dry day, with highs the low to mid 70s in the Denver area. Winds will be increasing and with the warm, dry weather the fire danger will also be higher. A Fire Weather Warning is in effect for much of the foothills and I-25 Corridor for Wednesday.

Thursday will still be quite warm for mid-November with highs in the 50s in the mountains and 60s for Denver and the plains.

Highs drop back to more November-like levels by the end of the week and weekend, with upper 40s to mid 50s expected. A cold front will arrive in Colorado Friday with scattered showers for Denver over the weekend.

This next system will likely bring 4 to 8 inches of snow for the mountains over the weekend.
