DENVER — Warm and dry weather will cover Colorado for the weekend. Skies will be mostly clear with just a few mid level clouds drifting across the state.

Sunday will stay dry and warm, but a weak cold front slips into NE Colorado.  This front will not bring any precipitation, but will lower temperatures by a few degrees across the plains. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s for Denver metro again and in the 50s in the mountains.

The weather will stay mild and pleasant for Monday with highs in the 70s for Denver and in the 50s to near 60 in the mountains.

The forecast is for colder and wetter weather to arrive Tuesday and for Halloween.  A stronger cold front will push across Colorado on Tuesday with rain showers changing to light snow for Denver and the northeast plains.  Temperatures will start out around 50 degrees in the morning, but fall to the middle 30s by late afternoon.

In the mountains, 3 to 6 inches of snow will be possible Tuesday and again on Wednesday.  Snow will be lighter Tuesday night and Wednesday for the Denver area, but 1 to 3 inches certainly seems possible.

Halloween will be cold for trick-or-treaters!  A chance for some flurries and temperatures in the low 30s in the late afternoon and early evening.
