DENVER — The storm cycle left 2 to 4 feet of snow in the high country, but now the weather shifts to dry and warmer.

Expect clear skies and lows in the single digits and low teens in the Denver area Tuesday morning. Bundle up! In the mountains, lows will tumble to zero to 15 below in the high valleys!

Tuesday, expect sunshine and high temperatures back in the upper 30s to low 40s across the metro-area. Winds will be gusty at times from the west, but no hazardous weather is expected. Dry conditions are expected in the high country, with highs in the teens and 20s.

The fresh snow in the mountains will not be added to for a while as the weather pattern only includes a little light snow for Thursday in the mountains, while the rest of the state stays mild and dry.

A warming trend will dominate through rest of the week, with highs back in the low 50s Wednesday through Friday. By the weekend, even warmer weather arrives with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s Saturday and Sunday!

The weather will stay dry Monday and Tuesday of next week, but there may be a chance for some snow on Christmas Day - especially in the mountains.

This Wednesday and Thursday, we will again be hosting our Holiday Hotline! Weather forecasters will be LIVE in the Denver 7 Call Center to provide you with free custom travel weather forecasts for wherever you may be heading for the holidays!
