Denver and the eastern plains will be colder Saturday with snow increasing in the afternoon and becoming moderate to heavy Saturday night. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the entire I-25 corridor through Sunday mid-morning.

The snow will get going across the Denver Metro Area by midday Saturday and will turn a bit heavier through the afternoon and evening. We'll see highs in the 20s to low 30s on Saturday.

Much colder weather will cover Colorado on Sunday as the snow diminishes. Total snowfall for the Denver area should be in the 3 to 8 inch range by early Sunday. Temperatures will tumble to the single digits early Sunday, with highs only in the teens.

Cold conditions will continue into early next week with lows falling to near zero in Denver early Monday. The stormy weather will move out and skies will return to sunny or partly cloudy. Highs on Monday will be in the 20s to low 30s.

A moderation in temperatures will return next week with highs in the 40s by Wednesday, low 50s on Thursday.
