DENVER — Slick roads are the rule in the mountains, metro area and across the plains. The snow will slowly diminish by morning, but road conditions will remain very slippery through the Wednesday morning commute.

The storm will ease, but temperatures will be very cold with lows dropping to zero to 5 above in Denver. In the mountains, lows will drop to 5 to 10 below zero.
A winter storm warning continues until 6 AM Wednesday for Denver and much of the mountains and eastern plains.
Light snow will taper to flurries early Wednesday and skies will begin to clear. Highs will only be in the upper teens to low 20s.
Morning lows will be around 0 degrees by Thursday morning — record cold again! Halloween highs will finally climb back above freezing, but it will be a very chilly time for trick-or-treaters with late afternoon temperatures in the low 30s or upper 20s.
The cold wave will begin to move out of Colorado by the end of the week. Highs on Friday will still be in the 30s under partly cloudy skies.
Temperatures will rebound into the low to mid 40s on Saturday and 50 degrees on Sunday! By Monday, highs will be back to near 55 to 60 degrees.
