The great thing about Colorado is that the nighttime lows will be comfortable! The dry air will lose heat quickly tonight with temperatures dropping into the 60s over lower elevations and into the 40s to low 50s in the mountains.
Friday will be another very hot day with a predicted high of 100 degrees. We typically only hit the century mark a couple times each summer. In the mountains, highs will be in the upper 70s to middle 80s.
There is a pool of cooler air over the northern Rockies that will move into Colorado this weekend. Saturday will not be nearly as hot with highs in the low 80s and a good chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Sunday and Monday will be cooler with highs only in the mid-to upper 70s. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely both days.
By Tuesday, the rain chances will drop and temperatures will begin to warm up again. Highs will reach the 90s again by the middle of next week.
