DENVER — A weak cold front is pushing in from the north and will usher in some cooler weather today.

In the wake of the front, temperatures will drop highs in Denver to the low 80s with lighter winds. Sadly, there will be very little moisture — just a few light afternoon thunderstorms over the northern mountains and northeast plains. Some severe storms will be possible farther east in Kansas and Nebraska.

The weather will be warmer on Wednesday, with highs in the upper 80s. By Thursday, highs will be back in 90s for the remainder of the week.

As of now, our Fourth of July holiday weekend is looking mostly sunny and toasty! Highs will be near 90 both Saturday and Sunday, with the slight chance for scattered afternoon and evening storms. Stay tuned!
