DENVER — What a nice change! Fall-like weather hit Colorado as a cold front raced through the state and we even saw a little snow above 10,000 feet last night.

Scattered showers can be expected through early this morning, with a touch of light snow for the higher peaks of our northern and central mountains.

Skies will gradually clear out and we'll see some pretty pleasant weather across the state today. We'll see highs in the upper 70s to low 80s across the Denver metro area today, with 60s and 70s in the mountains.

It will be hotter on Wednesday, with highs around 90 degrees. Thursday and Friday will be in the 80s, followed by a hot day on Saturday with highs in the middle 90s.

Expect mainly dry days for the rest of the week, with mainly clear skies and little chance for rain. Temperatures will bounce around a bit as a couple of minor cold fronts slide across the region.

Denver has recorded 68 days of 90 degrees or hotter this summer. The tally is creeping closer to the all-time record mark of 73 days, set in 2012.

Sunday and Labor Day will be cooler again with highs back in the upper 70s to low 80s. Little rain is expected over the next 7 days.
