DENVER -- After highs in the upper 70s to low 80s over the metro area this weekend, we are in for a big warm up this week.

Skies clear state-wide overnight Sunday. Lows will be in the mid-50s in Denver.

Hot and mostly dry weather will return to the central Rockies for the week with highs in the 90s for lower elevations and 80s in the mountains.

Sunny and dry conditions are expected Monday. Rain chances will stay quite low for most of the work week - however the best chance of any storms will be on Tuesday afternoon in Denver.

Mountain areas will be more prone to late-day showers and storms Tuesday through Saturday.

Highs will rise to the low 90s over the metro-area and plains, for what looks to be, through the weekend. Stay cool. Stay hydrated!
