DENVER — We made it to 61 degrees this afternoon at DIA.

Our next storm will bring more snow to the mountains on Thursday night and that snow will spread across the Denver metro area by early Friday morning. Right now, it looks like a trace to 1 inch of snow on the ground for the early morning commute, with around 2 to 4 inches of total accumulation throughout the day. The Palmer Divide and neighborhoods on the west side of town could see around 3 to 6 inches of snow. City by city, it looks like 0-3" for Longmont, Erie, Greeley, Ft. Collins, Berthoud, and Windor. 2"-4" Denver, Arvada, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Commerce City, Thornton, Westminster, Aurora, Superior. 3"-6" Highlands, Ranch, Littleton, Parker, Castle Rock, Lone Tree, Kiowa, Larkspur, Monument, Golden, Evergreen, Conifer.

Temperatures will be in the low 40s just after midnight tonight and that will likely be the warmest moment on Friday. Temperatures will drop into the 30s for the rest of the day.

Friday will remain a First Alert Action Day ending at midnight.

We will recover pretty quickly after that storm with highs in the 40s for the weekend and more sunshine. Stay tuned for details.
