DENVER — Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to move away from the Denver area toward the southeast. The storms will end over the southeast plains early Wednesday.
Later tonight skies will become mostly clear, except for some patchy fog in the South Platte Valley in Weld and Morgan counties.
Nicer conditions return on Wednesday, with warmer and drier weather across Colorado. Our afternoon highs will go back up to around 80 degrees Wednesday and Thursday under mostly sunny skies. A few widely scattered thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon each day, but overall conditions will be drier.
Another round of cooler, unsettled weather arrives starting Friday and continuing into the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms will become likely once again - typical for the middle of May!
