DENVER — A dry, but chilly morning can be expected for Denver and most of Colorado. Lows will be in the mid-20s to low 30s in the Denver area, with teens and low 20s in the mountains.
There is a new storm heading for Colorado on Wednesday. The morning will be dry and mostly sunny, with increasing clouds and the chance for rain/snow showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 50s around lunchtime in the Denver area, with temperatures dropping into the low 40s by late afternoon.
This approaching system looks like it will mainly impact the mountains of northern and central Colorado. Three to six inches of snow will fall Wednesday afternoon through early Thursday. For Denver and the I-25 Corridor, an inch or two of snow will be possible Wednesday night. Lows into early Thursday morning drop to the upper 20s, so there may be some slick roads for the morning commute.
Highs on Thursday will climb to the low 50s, melting away the snow. Friday will be even warmer with low 60s and sunshine in Denver.
Another fast moving storm will arrive in Colorado on Saturday. Clouds will increase and showers will develop on the plains in the afternoon. The mountains will likely receive several inches on new snow.
Easter Sunday will start off mostly cloudy and cold with temperatures around 30 degrees in the morning in the Denver area. Some snow showers will linger in the mountains, but the plains will likely stay dry. Highs on Sunday will be in the low 50s in Denver and in the 40s in the mountains.
Warmer weather will return early next week for the region.
